Most Markal® markers are meant to be permanent.  However, some of these products can be ground off or removed with hazardous solvents like ketones and acetates.  Markal® does make removable markers such as the W/S-3/8® Paintstik® and the PRO-WASH® series of paint markers that do not require any hazardous products to remove.

No one marker can work for all applications.  An example is the Hot Paintstik®.  These markers only write on hot surfaces and will not write on room temperature surfaces.  Conversely, the Cold Surface Paintstik® writes on surfaces up to 150°F but will melt on surfaces above this temperature.

Stabila spirit levels will maintain their stated accuracy for 10 years. The vials on all Stabila levels will not fog, leak or become inaccurate. If they do, you will be given a new level as long as a proof of purchase is provided.. Bent frames void warranty.

Essentially, it is the same thing. In the US, a 10 year warranty is classed as a lifetime warranty.

Your level will need to be within the 10 year warranty: you will need to return your level to Brian Hyde, Stirling Road, Shirley, West Midlands, B90 4LZ, with your proof of purchase and a brief description of the fault. Please also include a returns address postage to Brian Hyde. This will need to be covered by yourself and we will cover postage back to you

As long as the laser is within its 2 year warranty then you will need to send it to a Stabila approved repairer, you will also require a proof of purchase, if the laser is out of warranty then the recommended company’s will repair for a charge. Contact HYDE for further information. 

The distinguishing feature of our assembly system is that the vial is cast into a vial block holder (which was developed by STABILA) so that it is free from stresses but totally immoveable. The vial block holder is, in turn, inserted into the spirit level profile in a way which prevents any movement. The vial and profile are permanently aligned with each other, thus consistently guaranteeing accuracy of measurement.

Single plumb is where the level only has 2 vials, double plumb is where the level has 3 vials.
