Pocket tape measures
for measuring distances up to 10 m/32 ft
Usable anywhere, small, light and easy to carry, on your belt or
in your pocket, and ideal for measurements up to approx. 10m.
|
Cased
measuring tapes for measuring distances up to 30 m
For example, for use in construction, indoor fitting work and sport. |
Open-frame
measuring tapes for measuring distances up to 50m,

| The
accuracy: the marking at the beginning of high-quality measuring
tapes. |
|
• A good quality tape can be
recognised from the printing on the end. • Look for three
important points: the tapes accuracy class, which is printed
in Roman numerals, the EU pattern approval, which confirms its
origin and construction, and not least the manufacturer’s
name, i.e. the brand.
• As the most important component
the graduation scale must be printed clearly, showing a clear
distinction between units and tens.
•
A double millimetre scale (on the upper and lower edge) increases
the tape’s practicality.

| The
tape’s composition for pocket tape measures. |
|
•
For pocket tape measures, the tape’s durability is an important
factor: for this reason, most steel tapes are concave and have
a resistant coating to protect the graduated scale from abrasion
by particles of dirt.

tape’s composition for cased and open-frame measuring
tapes. |
|
• Only
high-quality steel and glass fibre tapes are used in the cased
and open frame measuring
tapes.
• Steel and polyamide tapes of accuracy class 2
or glass fibre tapes of accuracy class 3 are used depending on
the characteristics of the materials being employed.
• The
quality of the design and the materials provides secure resistance
to abrasion and breaking of the tape.

| Spiked
hook: A STABILA patent on pocket tape measures. |
|
|
• A
spiked hook whose little sapphire spikes enable it to hold
on all by itself.
•
This enables a person single-handedly to measure securely even
over great distances.
•
The spiked hook is the only hook that does not slip.

| The
tape end: Special end hooks for different applications. |
|
|
• Special
end hooks for different applications: folding hook, plumblines,
eyes, rings, etc., included in the measurement or not. • Standard
designs for the beginning of the tape: For cased measuring
tapes, a pull ring. For open-frame measuring tapes, a particularly
large pull ring with notches for vertical measurement.
•
Different tape beginnings available.

User-oriented blade ends:
